Prophet Miracle Arrested for Allegedly Detaining Wife

Port Harcourt-based Prophet Umueke Miracle, the controversial leader of Dynamic Flame of Fire and Miracle Ministrieshttp://Dynamic Flame of Fire and Miracle Ministries, is currently in a coma at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) after collapsing in police custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Rivers Statehttp://State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Rivers State.

The embattled cleric was arrested on Sunday after police rescued his wife, Success Miracle, who was allegedly held captive for five days in a house in GRA, Port Harcourt. According to us , Prophet Miracle was detained at the State CID following an invitation by the police.

However, reports from sources at UPTH indicate that Prophet Miracle collapsed on Sunday night, shortly after his detention, and was rushed to the hospital, where he is now in a coma.

Background: A History of Financial and Emotional Abuse

In a shocking revelation, Success Miracle shared her ordeal With us while still in captivity. She accused her husband of financial control, abuse, and manipulation, which allegedly began in 2017.

Success claimed that Prophet Miracle forbade her from opening a bank account or handling money, despite refusing to provide for her personal needs.

“We got married in 2017. Whenever we had issues, he would put me under house arrest. He didn’t allow me to have my own money or open a bank account, yet he refused to give me money,” she said.

She further alleged that the self-proclaimed prophet was acquiring properties while engaging in extramarital affairs. Attempts to seek a financial settlement were met with resistance, as he insisted that church funds could not be used for personal matters.

How the Secret Bank Account Led to Her Captivity

Desperate for financial independence, Success secretly opened an Access Bank account and started a small business selling water and other essential supplies for the ministry. With the help of some ministry staff, she managed to grow the business without her husband’s knowledge.

However, Prophet Miracle later discovered the account through one of his secretaries. According to Success, he tricked bank officials into revealing her balance by pretending he wanted to deposit ₦500 million.

After discovering the account, he accused her of theft and running an unauthorized business within the ministry. On Tuesday night, he forced her into his car and took her to a rented house in GRA, Port Harcourt, where he confiscated her phones and isolated her from the outside world.

“He told the bank he wanted to deposit ₦500 million into my account, just to make them check my balance. Then, he locked me up and threatened to sue me,” Success revealed.

Police Intervention and Prophet Miracle’s Collapse

Following public outcry and allegations that Prophet Miracle had police officers in his pocket, Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, was contacted by us.

Dismissing claims of favoritism, the commissioner swiftly ordered DPO Abacha to raid the house and rescue Success.

“I don’t know any pastor. How can I allow someone to be locked inside a house? Am I an animal? A commissioner of police won’t allow that, not even a DPO,” CP Adepoju stated.

After his arrest and detention at the State CID, Prophet Miracle collapsed due to stress and pressure from media exposure. He was immediately transferred to UPTH, where he remains in a coma as of Monday morning.

Ongoing Investigation

The Rivers State Police Command has assured the public that a full investigation is underway. Meanwhile, church members and followers of Prophet Miracle have gathered at UPTH, praying for his recovery.
