BREAKING: Police Rescue Port Harcourt Pastor’s Wife After Five Days of Unlawful Detention

The police have freed Success Miracle, wife of Prophet Umueke Miracle, the leader of Dynamic Flame of Fire Ministrieshttp://Prophet Umueke Miracle, the leader of Dynamic Flame of Fire Ministries, after she was unlawfully confined in a house in the GRA area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, for five days.
Success alleged that her husband had been financially controlling her since their marriage in 2017, forbidding her from opening a bank account or having independent financial resources while failing to provide for her personal needs. She also accused him of accumulating properties in his name and engaging in extramarital affairs.
Desperate for financial independence, she secretly opened an account with Access Bank and started a small business selling water and ministry supplies, with support from some ministry staff. However, Prophet Miracle discovered the account through a bank employee, whom he allegedly deceived into revealing her balance of ₦5 million.
Following this, he accused her of stealing from him and running an unauthorized business within his ministry. On Tuesday night, he forcibly took her to a house in GRA, confiscating her phones to prevent communication.
Upon receiving reports of her unlawful detention, the Rivers State Police Commissioner, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, dispatched a team led by DPO Abacha to the location. Prophet Miracle was invited for questioning but initially refused, claiming he had to preach. The police ensured Mrs. Miracle’s freedom and took her to the station for a statement.
At the station, she confirmed her husband’s long-standing restrictions on her communication and finances. The police have launched an investigation into the matter, with further action pending the inquiry’s outcome.
