Bishop Abioye Condemns Leaders for Dismissing Alleged Killings of Christians in Nigeria

The General Overseer of the Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly, Bishop David Abioye, has strongly criticized Nigerian authorities for denying what he described as targeted killings of Christians across the country.
His remarks follow ongoing global debates over claims that Christians in Nigeria face systematic attacks, with some international advocates estimating that more than 30 believers lose their lives daily and numerous churches have been destroyed by extremist groups.
Although the Federal Government has rejected such allegations, arguing that national security challenges affect citizens irrespective of religion, Bishop Abioye insisted during a recent sermon that mass killings of Christians are undeniable. He stated that victims are “being buried in hundreds” while leaders continue to downplay the situation.
Bishop Abioye accused political figures of shielding the truth to protect their personal interests. He acknowledged that violence affects other groups as well, but maintained that targeted attacks against Christians are evident and spreading beyond the northern region.
He warned that the alleged religious violence is gradually moving into the South West and South East, urging leaders at all levels to prioritize truth and justice instead of denial.
