Super Falcons shot-stopper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been ranked as the fourth best women’s goalkeeper in the world in the prestigious 2025 Ballon d’Or Yashin Trophy.
The award ceremony, held in Paris on Monday, crowned Chelsea and England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton as the overall winner. Gotham FC’s Ann-Katrin Berger came second, while Barcelona’s Cata Coll finished third. Arsenal goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar completed the top five.
Nnadozie, who currently plays for Brighton & Hove Albion in England, continues to earn global recognition for her outstanding performances both for club and country.
The Nigerian international played a key role in helping the Super Falcons secure the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco. At club level, she enjoyed a stellar spell with Paris FC before moving to Brighton, winning the 2024 UNFP Goalkeeper of the Season award in France and lifting the Coupe de France Féminine.
The Yashin Trophy, a category of the Ballon d’Or, celebrates the best female goalkeeper in world football every year.
Nnadozie’s fourth-place finish solidifies her reputation as one of the most reliable and talented goalkeepers on the global stage.
