Atalanta Coach Juric: Ademola Lookman Misguided by Poor Transfer Advice Amid Failed Inter Milan Move

Atalanta head coach Ivan Juric has revealed that Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman was misled by poor advice during the summer transfer saga that saw his proposed move to Inter Milan collapse.
Juric made the remarks during his post-match interview after Atalanta’s emphatic 3-0 Serie A victory over Torino on Sunday.
Lookman, 27, had been at the center of a transfer standoff in August when he submitted a formal request to leave Atalanta, even going absent without leave in a bid to force a switch to Inter Milan. However, La Dea firmly rejected the move, insisting he remain with the club.
Despite the drama, the Super Eagles attacker featured again for Atalanta, coming on as a substitute in the 87th minute against Torino.
Commenting on the situation, Juric said:
“He spoke to me and the team on Monday. Unfortunately, he was surrounded by people who gave him the wrong advice. He has a strong winning mentality, and now the focus is on getting him back to full fitness.”
The statement signals Atalanta’s determination to reintegrate Lookman into the squad as they continue their Serie A campaign.
