Armed Bandits Raid Baidi Village in Sokoto, One Injured

One person sustained gunshot injuries when suspected bandits launched an attack on Baidi village in Tangaza Local Government Area, Sokoto State.
Security analyst Bakatsine reported the incident on X on Monday, noting that it occurred on Sunday night during Isha prayers.
According to Bakatsine, the assailants stormed the village, shot one resident, and looted several shops. They also targeted a local phone-charging hub.
“During the Isha prayer yesterday, armed attackers invaded Baidi village, about 3 km from Tangaza town. One person was shot, multiple shops were looted, and a phone-charging point was raided. Residents fled in fear of a possible follow-up attack,” Bakatsine wrote.
No official comment has yet been released by security agencies regarding the incident.
