Signed boxing shorts from former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua have helped generate almost £28,000 for a homeless charity in Oxford following a special fundraising gala.
The charity event was organised by Dorchester Living, developers of Heyford Park near Bicester, with proceeds directed to Homeless Oxfordshire. The evening brought together local businesses, partners and supporters for a night of entertainment, community engagement and philanthropy.
Joshua’s signed fight shorts were among the most sought-after auction items, alongside prizes such as a brewery tour with Fuller’s Brewery and Reformer Pilates class packages.
Dorchester Living chief executive Paul Silver said the initiative went beyond fundraising, stressing the company’s commitment to social impact. He noted that supporting the charity’s Her Way Home campaign aims to help vulnerable women find safety, rebuild confidence and secure a better future.
Also reacting, Tim Wraith, Partnerships Fundraising Manager at Homeless Oxfordshire, praised the generosity shown at the gala, saying the funds raised would provide safe accommodation and specialist support for women at a critical stage in their lives.
