Anambra’s Onyinyechi Basil Crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2025

The 25-year-old beauty queen outshone 21 other contestants to claim the coveted crown, succeeding the 2024 titleholder, Chidimma Adetishina.
In her first remarks after being crowned, Basil dedicated her victory to young Nigerian women, encouraging them to pursue their dreams while embracing their cultural heritage.
“I want young girls to know that they can achieve more, and still celebrate their cultural identity,” she said.
With her new title, Basil will now represent Nigeria at the global Miss Universe 2025 competition.

- Miss Bayelsa, Fortune Kurobo – Second Runner-Up
- Miss Ogun, Irene Ikediashi – Third Runner-Up
