Super Eagles veteran Ahmed Musa has vowed to restore the pride and dominance of Kano Pillars Football Club following his official appointment as the club’s new General Manager.
The appointment was confirmed on Saturday by the Kano State Government, signaling a fresh era for the four-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions.
Musa, who played for Kano Pillars during the 2024/25 NPFL season, was instrumental on the pitch, netting 10 goals in 23 appearances. Despite his performance, the club endured a disappointing campaign, finishing 9th on the table and struggling in the President Federation Cup.
Now stepping into a leadership role off the pitch, Musa has promised to transform the club and called on all stakeholders—including fans, management, and state officials—for full support.
“I want to assure everyone here that, with your support and the backing of the board members, I will do everything possible to reposition the club and make it one of the finest not only in Africa but globally,” Musa stated in an interview with the club’s media team.
Preparations are already underway at Kano Pillars for the 2025/26 NPFL season, with renewed focus on rebuilding a winning team and re-establishing the club as a force both in Nigerian and African football.
Musa’s transition from player to top executive is seen as a strategic move that blends experience, passion, and vision—qualities the club hopes will drive success on and off the field.
