Kano Pillars’ General Manager, Ahmed Musa, has publicly apologised for the violent scenes that erupted during their NPFL match against Shooting Stars Sports Club on Sunday.
In a statement released late Sunday, the Super Eagles captain described the incident as “heartbreaking, shameful, and completely unacceptable.”
Musa emphasised that the behaviour witnessed does not reflect the values or proud legacy of Kano Pillars Football Club.
“Violence has no place in football. It’s unjustifiable and goes against everything this beautiful game stands for,” Musa stated.
He extended an unreserved apology to Shooting Stars’ players, officials, supporters, and the NPFL organisers, assuring that the club will work closely with authorities to identify and punish those involved.
“We know that apologies alone aren’t enough. We will back our words with action to ensure such incidents never happen again,” he added.
Musa reaffirmed the club’s commitment to fair play, discipline, and respect, urging fans to uphold the true spirit of football both on and off the pitch.
