Activist VeryDarkMan Launches Ratel Movement’s Nationwide Community Service Drive

Nigerian activist and social media commentator, Martin Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has announced the launch of a nationwide civic initiative under the Ratel Movement.
In a video shared on his Facebook page on Wednesday, VDM revealed that the movement will begin monthly community service projects across the country, starting on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
According to him, the campaign is designed to combat environmental degradation while instilling a sense of patriotism and responsibility among Nigerian youths.
“From November 29, we the Ratel Movement are taking over Nigeria—not through violence, but through impact,” VDM said.
The programme, he explained, will include cleaning public spaces, clearing blocked drainages, rehabilitating schools, and other grassroots development activities aimed at uplifting communities.
“This will be a shift from online activism to real-life engagement. We want to show that being a Ratel means positively impacting society,” he added.
The initiative marks a significant move to transition the Ratel Movement from digital mobilisation to tangible, on-the-ground action.
