Abuja Tragedy: Man Arrested After Fiancée Dies Mysteriously in His Home

Police in Abuja have arrested a man following the mysterious death of his 24-year-old fiancée, identified as Kelechi Ebubechukwu, at his residence in the Gwagwalada area of the Federal Capital Territory.
The incident was first reported by security analyst Zagazola Makama in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.
Quoting police sources, Makama revealed that preliminary investigations suggest the deceased may have been battling malaria before her death. Drugs believed to have been prescribed for the illness were recovered at the scene.
“No marks of violence were found on her body,” the police source confirmed, adding that further investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of death.
Meanwhile, the fiancé has been taken into custody as detectives probe the circumstances surrounding the case.
The incident comes amid growing concern over the rising number of women who have died in the homes of their partners under questionable circumstances across Nigeria.
