“No Apologies, Zero Regrets” — Sheikh Jingir Rejects Calls to Apologise Over Muslim-Muslim Stance

Sheikh Muhammad Sani Yahaya Jingir has rejected calls for him to apologise over his support for a Muslim-Muslim political arrangement, declaring that he has “no apologies, zero regrets” about his position.
Jingir reportedly maintained that he has no regrets about his stance and would continue to express his political preference whenever he has the opportunity to do so.
The cleric’s comments have drawn attention amid ongoing public debate over religious balancing in Nigerian politics and the implications of Muslim-Muslim political tickets.
Jingir’s position reflects his continued support for the arrangement, despite calls from some quarters for him to reconsider or apologise for his earlier stance.
His remarks are expected to fuel further discussions about religion, political representation and the role of religious leaders in Nigeria’s political affairs.
