2Face Idibia Names Burna Boy as Nigeria’s Number One Artist

Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, has declared Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy as the current number one artist in Nigeria.
Speaking in a recent interview with Urban FM, Enugu, the “African Queen” crooner praised Burna Boy as the leader and “senior” among today’s generation of Nigerian artists.
“On a personal level, Burna Boy is my number one. Although I still have other artists that I admire, personally as an artist, Burna Boy is my number one right now. Among all the others I am referring to, he is the senior,” 2Face said.
The veteran singer also acknowledged that several younger acts are fast rising and could reach Burna Boy’s level in the near future, but maintained that at the moment, Burna Boy stands out as the most dominant figure in the Nigerian music industry.
