The results of Match Day 8 (Africa) and Match Day 6 (Europe) of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, played on Tuesday, have been confirmed.

In Africa, Nigeria’s Super Eagles were held to a 1-1 draw by South Africa at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein. An own goal from William Troost-Ekong gave Bafana Bafana the lead before Calvin Bassey equalized before halftime.

Elsewhere, Senegal produced a dramatic comeback, overturning a two-goal deficit to defeat DR Congo 3-2 at the Stade des Martyrs.
