EeZee Conceptz in Peace Talks With Mercy Chinwo Over $345,000 Royalty Dispute—Manager Retracts Defamation Claim

EeZee Conceptz Limited has confirmed that peace talks are ongoing with award-winning gospel artist Mercy Chinwo, aimed at resolving their long-standing royalty dispute.

The Managing Director of EeZee Conceptz, Nancy Nnadi, popularly known as Coach Nancy, disclosed the development while publicly retracting earlier defamatory statements made against the singer.

In a statement shared via her official Instagram page over the weekend, Nancy announced that respected religious leaders—referred to as “Fathers of Faith”—are currently mediating the reconciliation process between Mercy Chinwo and the gospel music label.

“On the advice of my lawyer, and for the sake of peace and the love of God, I retract my earlier post about Minister Mercy Chinwo. I also pray that Almighty God perfects the ongoing settlement process being facilitated by the Fathers of Faith between her and EeZee Conceptz,” she wrote.

This move comes months after Mercy Chinwo filed a lawsuit against EeZee Conceptz founder, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, popularly known as EeZee Tee, accusing him of diverting $345,000 in unpaid royalties. The legal action, which became public in January 2025, followed Chinwo’s departure from the label two years earlier over unresolved financial disagreements.

The feud escalated further when Nancy Nnadi accused Chinwo of financial misconduct—a claim that prompted the gospel singer to file a defamation suit, demanding a public apology and the removal of false content from all social media platforms.

With Nancy’s retraction and the involvement of Christian leaders in the reconciliation process, hopes are now high that the rift between Chinwo and her former label will be resolved amicably in the spirit of faith and unity within the gospel music industry.
