Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo has sounded the alarm over rising threats to Christian communities in Plateau State, revealing that militant groups are collecting N100,000 from women and N200,000 from men to finance weapons for attacks ahead of the Christmas season.
Speaking at the Glory Dome in Abuja, the cleric said intelligence reports indicate that these funds are intended to support a planned “jihad” against Christian settlements.
“They have declared that we will not enjoy Christmas this year. They say we will run with rice in our hands because they are prepared for jihad,” Dachomo warned.
He urged residents to rely on prayer as their strongest defense, saying:
“Prayer is more powerful than AK-47s or rocket launchers. Let us lift our prayers to heaven.”
The cleric appealed for nationwide support, stressing the urgency of protecting Christians:
“Christians must be safe. There is a genocide happening in Nigeria. Pray for us in Jesus’ name,” he said.
